Iffy knowledge
Abstract: I will describe some puzzles about iffy knowledge ascription — indicative conditionals embedded under knowledge operators (constructions of the form ‘A knows that if p, then q’). I’ll use the cases to draw some lessons about the meanings of those expressions, and also about presupposition generally. Among other things, I’ll suggest that iffy knowledge isn’t factive, and that it isn’t quite knowledge.
